See it first, then sign: why I build a working demo before we talk money

Ask any business owner about their experience with web builders and you will hear the same story: a nice presentation, vague promises, and silence after the down payment. On entrepreneur forums, “a lot of cowboys” is one of the kinder descriptions. The result: people who need a good site keep postponing the decision — not because it does not matter, but because nobody wants to pay for a pig in a poke.

I could explain at length that I work differently. But every builder says that. So I flipped the order instead.

First the demo, then the conversation

Before we talk money, I build a working demo for your kind of business. No sketches, no moodboard, no PowerPoint — a site you can click through, with an AI assistant that answers real questions, gives a price indication and books an appointment. You click through it, you let your partner click through it, and only then do you decide whether we keep talking.

Right now such a demo is ready for an installation business, next to the site we have live for a window-frame and facade company. If your industry is not among them, I will show you in a half-hour call what such a demo would look like for your business.

Why this works (and why almost nobody does it)

Building a demo costs me time before a single euro is paid. That seems impractical, but it filters exactly right: whoever sees the demo and understands the mechanism — every inquiry answered within five minutes, evenings included — no longer needs a sales pitch. And whoever walks away after the demo would otherwise have been disappointed halfway through the project.

There is another reason behind it. I do not build such a demo from a template but from research into the industry: I read complaint stories and reviews from customers who had the same kind of job done — where people drop off, what makes them suspicious, which question they do not dare to ask. Every element of the demo answers an existing customer fear. That research is not a by-product — it is the method. Your site gets built the same way: first understand your customer, then build.

What happens after the demo

No subscription, no vague quote. We agree on one pilot month with a measurable goal — for example: every inquiry gets a response within five minutes. Fixed price, known up front, and it does not change afterwards. If it does not work, it stops there and you keep the numbers.

And since I know you are reading this with the same healthy scepticism you apply to every web builder: you do not have to believe me. That is exactly the point. Look at the demo — and see for yourself.
